EPEC members are actively involved in community-based and peace-driven projects throughout the year. If you are interested in knowing more or would like to participate in any of our ongoing projects, please attend our monthly board meetings and/or committee meetings

The Environmental and Peace Education Center (EPEC) is a non-profit community grassroots education and advocacy organization in Southwest Florida. While EPEC continues to raise community awareness on a variety of peace and environmental issues, new initiatives are being launched to reach greater numbers of individuals and to accomplish necessary change. The EPEC Community Gardens Project has been started to foster the sense of community, to help feed the hungry and to promote sustainability practices. The EPEC Peace Fair Organizing Committee is using the focus of sponsoring a peace fair as a way to come together in coalition with other like-minded organizations on issues of mutual concern. Members of the Environmental and Peace Education Center believe that only by cooperating with individuals and other organizations can the worthwhile goals of peace, environmental justice and sustainability be realized.

There is more that unites humanity than there is that divides us. The future of all life on earth depends not only on the wise use of technologybut upon the expressionof our hearts.
